Dave Turin

dave-turinI like Dave a lot. When they first brought Dave in I thought he was going to really turn things upside down. Don’t get me wrong I think in a way he did. He really streamlined things in season one and put a lot of work in there for Dakota Fred to take advantage of. I give him credit for leaving the family business too! This season his little hiccup with the wrong claim was a bit WTH moment, but he fixed it and now they are at what… almost 90 ounces? Go Indian Creek team!

    Dave,
I feel that as a civil engineer with a specialty in water resources, I could be of great assistance to you and your team, I also have a technician that is the best n the business standing by to join me in whatever venture I pursue. I would love to join your team and lend my expertise to helping find the payload that you have been searching for.

Love the show. Its always gold day every Tuesday for me. Hoes a guy get on one of these crews?

  4. Hey Dave, in my book you are the man. Did some placer mining my self years ago, and as far as I can tell you got the most experience of the crew. Todd should pay more attention to what you have to say Just say’n. Keep up the good work and see what the next cut brings.

  5. P. S. as a result of you and the rest of the guys, I am considering getting back into mining. Not on your scale, smaller.

    Dave,
You run a top notch crew, with a skilled crew of equipment operators. Your wash plant is a well thought out work of art. I watch the show to see your crew make the material fly, and look forward to seeing you plant improvements for next season. Would be great to see a second set of sluices, with a flop gate so you have no downtime for cleanouts and run 2 shift for 24/7 operation.

    Dave and Indian River Originals,

You guys have made this season. It has been great watching you guys pull as a team with no drama. Watching Hoffman nearly destroy a washplant to assuage his bruised ego makes me sick. That level of incompetence has no place in heavy industry. The fact he recognized by stating… ” Don’t tell Dave… What happens on the night shift stays on the night shift.”

You and your crew have been the backbone of the operation. Good on you! Be safe and thanks for some good entertainment.

Dave, great job..please do everyone a favor and get your own site next season. With a spoiled jackass like Todd in the mix, that has obviously never had to work for a living and gets shit given to him throughout life, your all bound to fail..There seem to be a bunch of good, hard working guys with you that deserve more than he has the brain power to provide.. You need to take the lead..

been watching the show from the netherlands europe (think we run about 2 to 3 months en the episodes behind here compared to the states) in the last show i seen todd shutting down their washplant as gold was slipping though it

if i was an invester dave turin would be the leader of the operation instead of todd , he’s the person that collected a verry good team around indian river picked a good tryed and tested type of washplant that was finished at the start of his season and the guy operating it had good expert knowledge on finding gold and processing it to wish he listens
he basicly saved todds ass with his investor
there was some luck involved in him choosing the indian river claim and some duh moments in him not starting at the right claim right away but done better and acted more profesional than todd from the start of the show

todd and his father could be real nice guys but from wat i seen on tv i wouldnt want to work for them
todd is a bully they hire people who are knowledgeble in their profesion (operating machinery ) then dont listen to their profesional advice and trow their weight around
    they act irrational in general

the one thing i didnt understand is that they never thought of sending non working personell that was sitting idle from their site to indian river to work and get stuff there done faster (opening up the cut to reach gravel) or truck there good soil to indian river and have it run through big red wish has been working pretty constant
it could be deu to the price of fuel and he distance between the two sites allso i would test the tailings out of bleu blunder an untested washplant a lot more often to see if any gold is slipping through , he couldve saved himself a lot of good goldbearing soil doing it that way
